Dear Member,

September already, eh?! It’s been quite the year thus far managing COVID and in turn, managing the property, the golf course and most importantly, the   safety of members and associates. I am extremely proud of the Golf Course Maintenance team and all of their hard work, dedication and determination through adversity. Short staffed in 2020, they continue to work hard each day, producing the best consistent conditions on a daily basis. Please be sure to thank a team member in passing as it means a lot to them. Thank you to all who send notes behind the scenes to share appreciation for the team.

As fall approaches, the team will continue to work diligently to tackle the daily routine, but also take on some larger maintenance practices such as aeration and overseeding the rough; drainage and irrigation projects; sod high-traffic worn areas and work to knock down the native areas for weed control and  sustainability.

As the golfing season winds down over the next couple of months, it will be a great time to be out on the course and we look forward to seeing you there. On behalf of the entire GCM team, I want to thank you for your support and understanding during this unprecedented year. We tend to live in the moment and focus on the here and now, so as you get out and enjoy the property, please live in the moment and enjoy your round of golf.

Please look for the next edition of QuarterlyInsight coming to you at the end of September.

Sincerely,

Jeff Steen, CGCS
